Refund Policy.

All participation fees and payments made to Topnotch Foundation are non-refundable. This page explains why, and lists every situation it covers.

In effect sinceLast updated

In short
  • All payments are non-refundable.
  • We pay upfront for every arrangement — venue, trophy, food, production and more — as soon as your place is confirmed.
  • Changes in or absence of political guests or dignitaries are not grounds for a refund.
  • If we postpone an event, your payment is carried forward to the new date.

1Our policy

All participation (arrangement) fees, sponsorship payments and other payments made to Topnotch Foundation are final and non-refundable, in full or in part, once paid.

We never charge for an award itself. The payment is only for the arrangements made to host you at the ceremony, as described in our Terms & Conditions.

2Why payments cannot be refunded

As soon as your participation is confirmed and paid, we commit and pay in advance for the arrangements made for you, including:

  • the venue or hotel booking and seating for the passes included;
  • your trophy and certificate, which are engraved and printed with your name;
  • food, beverages and hospitality, booked per guest;
  • stage, sound, lights, screens and event production;
  • photography, videography, the awards souvenir and printed material;
  • media and telecast coordination, guest management and staff.

These costs are paid to venues, caterers, trophy makers and other suppliers in advance and cannot be recovered if a participant cancels or does not attend. For this reason we are unable to refund any payment.

3Situations where no refund is given

No refund, partial refund, discount or compensation is given in any of these situations:

  • you cancel your participation, for any reason, at any time after payment;
  • you or your representatives do not attend, arrive late or leave early;
  • fewer people attend than the number of passes included;
  • a chief guest, guest of honour, minister, political leader, government official or any other dignitary changes, arrives late, leaves early, sends a representative or does not attend — the attendance of political guests is never guaranteed, as it depends on their official duties, even after confirmation;
  • the person presenting your award is different from the one you expected;
  • a film or entertainment personality is unable to attend for reasons beyond our control and a replacement is arranged, or no replacement is possible;
  • the date, time, venue, programme, seating or running order changes;
  • the event is postponed (your payment is carried forward instead — see section 4);
  • a television channel or media partner does not include you in its telecast or coverage, or changes the date of the telecast;
  • you are not satisfied with the seating, food, photographs or any other arrangement;
  • entry is refused or a participant is removed because of misconduct or a breach of venue rules;
  • a selection is withdrawn because information submitted was false or misleading;
  • the event is affected by events beyond our control, such as government orders, elections, security alerts, natural disasters, epidemics or transport disruptions.

4Postponement

If we postpone an event, your confirmation and payment are automatically carried forward to the new date. If you cannot attend the new date, you may ask us in writing to carry your payment forward to the next edition of the same award. We will consider such requests at our discretion; the payment is not refunded.

5Payments made by mistake

If you pay more than the amount on your invoice, or pay the same invoice twice by mistake, write to us with the payment details. After we verify that the extra amount has been received in our account, it will be returned to the account it came from, or adjusted against another invoice if you prefer.

6Payments to anyone other than Topnotch Foundation

Payments must be made only to the official Topnotch Foundation bank account shown on our invoice. We cannot refund or recognise payments made in cash or to any individual or other account, as these never reach us. If someone asks you to pay elsewhere, please report it to us.

7Disputes and chargebacks

If you have a concern about a payment, please contact us first so that we can look into it. Raising a chargeback or payment dispute for a confirmed participation is contrary to this policy and the Terms & Conditions you accepted when paying.

8Taxes

GST and other taxes charged on an invoice are deposited with the government and are part of the non-refundable payment.
